The Trading Post

Howdy do for 2008, and boy howdy, what a start to it!

First, Turner Classic Bastards, as part of the almost-championship dismantling, trade stalwart starter, longtime Bastard, top 2008 fantasy/NL Cy Young award winner and scourge of curbside check-in Jake Peavy to Festivus Miracles for The Hebrew Hammer, who has as of yet to play one full season in these our major leagues. We may already have a winner for the 2008 Lyle Overpay Award.

Secondly, The Country's Bastards (Yogurt), in a kind of alarming, mostly ill-conceived and like as not illogical about-face part ways with their 2005 first round pick (after potential 30-game winner Randy Johnson) and one-man wrecking crew (he'll have to be this year) Albert Pujols, Friend of the Mentally Challenged. Don't Jesus' hem him in! In return for this unique, Hall of Fame -bound jerque, Manriques (v. January 2008) give up The Best Pitcher In Baseball, Johan Santana, freeing themselves from the trade rumor fatigue and solidifying arguably the best keeper infield since 2007.
