Feeling the post-draft blues? Did you forget to draft a first baseman? Did your star SS break his ankle minutes after you drafted him?
Don't worry. There are plenty of free agents out there to satisfy all your needs.
As you may recall, this year we are using the FAAB system for the acquisition of free agents. I would encourage you to re-read the relevant section in the rules before it all begins, but I thought I'd hit some highlights here:
- You have $50 in FAAB cash for the season. However, you may acquire more FAAB money in trades
- FAAB will run twice weekly: Wednesday nights (at Midnight) and Sunday nights (at Midnight), which means the deadline for submitting bids is Wednesdays at 11:59 PM and Sundays at 11:59 PM
- Bids should be submitted via CBS Sportsline. This is an automated process that kicks in when you try to add a free agent
- Only whole dollar bids will be accepted. You may not bid $0 on a player

Successful for whom? Brent?
Also, I noted my roster is illegal because I've got 2 too many players. That means I gotta drop 2 before opening day, true?
Jon - you get to have 5 starting pitchers and 2 relievers, so that should put you at the right number of players without having to drop anyone if you make that adjustment.
Hey, thanks for the nod, but rest assured there're at least a couple things sticking in my craw.
And Yes to what Gary says: just move 2 SPs from your reserve and you're set.
Thanks
By the by, how does F-antasy B-aseball A-cquisition B-udget translate into the acronym FAAB?
You've got to pronounce it like Mushmouth from the Fat Albert gang.
When are we going to get Sacki's annual draft review?
Thanks for writing this.
