As per our earlier post, once you agree to a trade via CBS Sportsline (for deals NOT involving draft picks), the process is automated: an email is generated by the website, there is a voting period, once the voting period elapses the trade is finalized.
However, we have found that the voting process lasts for a period of 1 Day PLUS the remaining time in the day the trade is finalized.
- For instance, if you agree to a trade at 1:00 on a Tuesday, the voting period lasts from 1:00 PM - 11:59 PM on Tuesday plus the entire day 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM on Wednesday, with the players changing hands at the stroke of Midnight (or after, site-dependent, but at the very latest by 6:00 AM) on Thursday.
- Or if you agree to a trade at 11:30 PM on a Friday, the voting period lasts from 11:30 PM - 11:59 PM on Friday plus the entire day of 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM on Saturday, with the players changing hands at the stroke of Midnight (or after, site-dependent, but at the very latest by 6:00 AM) on Sunday.
Additionally, it changes the Yearly Trade Deadline to 11:59 PM on Saturday August 25, 2007.
The rules have been changed to reflect the above.

A question: For purposes of stats and points, when does the player change hands? If I recall from last year, if you were to trade in the middle of the week, players remained in the hands of the involved fantasy owners until the end of the scoring period.
Is this still the case? Or is it possible that certain players will have split weeks scoring for two different fantasy owners?
Even if a player changes hands mid-week, the stats will only count for the original owner.
Once the line-ups are locked at 11:30 AM (for example) on Monday morning, those stats will be locked to the team, even a player changes hands via a trade or is dropped.
Even if a player changes hands? It's good to know that points count for ambidextrous players.
