TransAction Monday

The league had three movements Monday morning.

#1) Circling the Drain bet $1 on Brad Lidge regaining his job closing for the 'Stros. If the Astros' TV crew is correct in their assessment from his appearance in Friday's game, he should be back closing in the next week or so. Lidge's numbers since his early season belly flop and demotion have been outstanding. But there was that little trip to the DL. Jeff Kent was put out to pasture and BJ "Bang-Bang" Upton takes over permanent duties at second for the Drain. I give this an:

#2) The Savage Sickos, ever impressed with astute baserunning, picked up Adrian Beltre for $1. Beltre's been on the come for the last three weeks. Sportsline says he's a second-half player. Last year this was certainly the case. Off like a prom dress is Casey Kotchman who was brained by a Russel Martin pickoff attempt. My thoughts after typing them into Google images and settling on the lowest common denomonator:

#3) The Festivus Miracles picked up Wandy Rodriguez for $1, putatively before today's meltdown against the Cubs (He blew a five run lead). Previous to that, W-Rod was stellar in his last two starts against the Rockies and Mets, respectively. Pirate prospect Bryan Bullington was dropped to make room. My thoughts:

I've never been good at these charade-type games, but I'll give it a shot.

CTD: Bombed.
SaSi: Too little too late.
FM: It don't matter what you got - not a lot? So what.
